How this compares
| Option | Price | Obligation |
|---|---|---|
| This site | $4.99 per file | None — nothing renews |
| Monthly transcription plans | Typically $10–$30 per month | Renews monthly; allowance resets |
| Platform auto-captions | Free | Poor punctuation, no export control |
If you transcribe several files a week, a monthly plan will be cheaper than paying per file here. We would rather say that than sell you a subscription you will not use.
What you are paying for
Recognition compute on a 300-second-slice pipeline plus the job state that lets a long file finish without timing out. Your original file is never uploaded, so storage costs nothing and there is nothing to delete afterwards.
Refunds
Because transcription compute is consumed the moment a slice is processed, minutes already transcribed are not refundable. If the payment succeeded but the transcript did not appear, reload the page with the same browser — the job is kept against your file — and if that still fails, contact the address on the receipt.
